LGBT 30 Day Challenge
Day 7 - How your parents took it or how you think they might take it.
My mom was chill about it. Like, she and I never actually talked about it, but I know she knows. I was dating my first girlfriend, Jessica, and I thought my mom didn’t know. Jessica got into a fight and stopped talking, and my sister came up to me and said ‘Did you and Jess break up?’ I just stared at her for a minute. I tried to say no, what are you talking about, but she told me she knew and that it was okay. She told me there was nothing wrong with me. I asked her if mom knew and Molly said “Mom has always known. She loves you no matter what.” And to this day, my mom and I get along fantastically. It’s just understood that she knows and she loves me the same. I know if I ever needed her, I can talk to her. And until that day comes, we will continue to laugh and make jokes, and get along, and fight occasionally, and argue, and be a family. :)
